WebIt sounds ridiculous at first, but if incentives to lower burps and farts exist, maybe ranchers will switch to less gassy foods and/or the full price of greenhouse emissions will be included in the price of beef, etc. thereby making less resource intensive/less polluting food sources more attractive to the end consumer (like more vegetables or meat equivalents).
