All M&P's have a Striker Block. The block prevents the striker from moving forward, unless the trigger is actually, purposely depressed to the rear. The Shield Plus is, for me, absolutely perfect in width for a "micro-compact." I would have to agree, the grip is thin. though I used it for appendix carry when wearing light clothing. 0.1" isn't bad.

You'd need a new plus and 2.0 side by side to tell the difference. The slide from the 1.0, 2.0, and plus is the same. I switched the slide on the 2.0 and plus.
