Web‘Fame’ was co-written by David Bowie, Carlos Alomar and John Lennon during recording sessions for Bowie’s album Young Americans in 1975. The song began in the studio when Alomar began playing a riff, and Lennon began singing “aim” along with it. Later, Bowie and Lennon changed it to “Fame”, and finished the lyrics. The song was then recorded.
